Abstract: Foam glass is a commonly used insulation material and wall material for construction and industrial equipment. Its environmental conditions are harsher than those of inner materials. Its moisture permeability directly affects the use and life of buildings and industrial equipment. In this paper, Labthink blue light W3/030 water vapor transmission rate tester is used to test the barrier performance of foam glass to external water vapor, and the basic process of the test and the applicable scope and equipment parameters of the test equipment are introduced. 1 , meaning

4.1 Test principle
W3/030 adopts the principle of wetting cup weighing method. Under certain temperature, the specific humidity difference is formed on both sides of the sample. 5 , the test process
(1) Cut the specimen into three 75 mm × 75 mm squares with a cutter.
(2) The sample is wrapped with wax on the moisture permeable cup, and the moisture permeable cup is placed in the test chamber to close the glass sealing door.
(3) Set the sample name, sample thickness, test temperature, test humidity and other parameters.
(4) Start the air supply and click the “Start Test” option.
(5) After the test is over, the instrument automatically calculates and displays the test results.
