The greenhouse vegetables do a good job of frost protection management

<

The greenhouse vegetable is sensitive to low temperature, especially in deep winter season, it often encounters bad weather conditions such as low temperature cold tide, frost, snow and ice, etc. If improper management and protection, it will easily cause vegetable freeze damage, and bring greater economic losses to vegetable farmers. In the antifreeze management of greenhouse vegetables, we should start from the following aspects:

First, antifreeze in advance irrigation

Before the onset of wind and snow cooling, timely irrigation of vegetable fields can prevent the ground temperature from drastically decreasing and mitigate the extent of freezing and chilling, especially for the prevention of dry freezing. Irrigation should be thoroughly irrigated and pourable. It is advisable not to accumulate water on the surface of the plant. After the irrigation, it is necessary to seize the favorable opportunity to carry out planning to increase the temperature of the ground.

Second, dig the cold ditch

Dig out the cold-proof ditch around the shed. The depth is based on the local permafrost. The width is 50-70 cm. It is filled with horse dung, sawdust or straw, straw, etc. The top cover is compacted and the cold-proof ditch is slightly higher than the ground.

Third, add light

Enhancing and supplementing the light in the shed is very important for ensuring the normal growth of vegetable plants. A light curtain can be hung on the back wall of the shed to increase the light intensity of the cultivation bed. Fluorescent lamps can also be installed in the shed to turn on the light for about 3 hours sooner or later when the light is weak on cloudy snow days. It can increase the temperature in the greenhouse and promote the photosynthesis of vegetable plants.

Fourth, adjust the air content in the shed

In the cold winter, due to the low temperature, low ventilation and ventilation, and almost airtight conditions in the shed, it is easy to cause high oxygen concentration in the shed and a serious shortage of carbon dioxide, which will have a certain impact on the photosynthesis of vegetable plants. Cold resistance will be greatly reduced. Therefore, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the shed should be supplemented. Smoke, sulfuric acid and ammonium bicarbonate can be used to adjust the air content in the shed and increase the carbon dioxide content. This can significantly increase the cold resistance of the vegetable plants.

Fifth, strengthen post-snow management

In cloudy snow conditions, when the outdoor temperature is around -10°C, the temperature inside the shed is often around 16°C, and the temperature difference between inside and outside is relatively small. However, once the weather is fine, the temperature in the shed indoors can rise above 30°C. At this time, the air should be repetitively released in a timely manner, so that the temperature difference between the interior and exterior of the shed is similar to that of the previous days, and then the temperature is gradually increased, so that the vegetable plants have a slow adaptation process to the external environment, and then resume normal growth. Otherwise, it will cause flash seedlings, and it is prone to frost damage when it is cooled again.
