The rice transplanter should release petrol before long-term storage

<

With the end of transplanting operations in South China in August, rice transplanters were gradually stored and put into use again in the transplanting season next year. During this period, rice transplanters will be stored for 5 to 11 months. Some users do not perform any maintenance on the engine until they are stored, and do not check the engine until the next year needs to be used. It is usually found during inspection that the engine has failed to start normally. Why does this happen?

The root of the problem lies in the long-term storage of gasoline. In general, gasoline may become stale (especially ethanol gasoline) when it is stored for more than 30 days. Sterile petrol will form a colloidal precipitate at critical parts of the fuel system or carburetor. These rubber seals may clog the carburetor, causing the engine to fail to start normally when it is turned on the next year.

At present, ethanol gasoline is used in many areas throughout the country, such as the three northeastern provinces, Henan Province and Anhui Province. Since ethanol gasoline contains ethanol (alcohol), alcohol absorbs moisture from the air and stores it for a long period of time, causing accumulation of water in the bottom of the engine's fuel tank and carburetor, resulting in impure gasoline and corrosion of engine components. The engine will not start for the second year. The probability of the situation is greater. Waiting until the time of failure can be dealt with, you can only clean the carburetor, replace the gasket, and so on, wasting time and money.

Avoiding this situation is actually very simple, as long as the petrol tank, tubing and petrol carburetor are vented before the transplanter is stored for a long time. Usually gasoline engines have carburetor ports on their carburetor. Just open the port, release the gasoline, flow it into a safe container, and add it to other equipment that needs to use gasoline (motorcycles, gasoline pumps, etc.) Used by cars, etc.) In the second year, as long as fresh gasoline is added to the transplanter engine, the engine can be started easily.

There is also an easier way: some professional petrol engine companies can provide gasoline stabilizers (such as the American Briggs & Company's fuel additives), which can make gasoline not deteriorate in two years. Just follow the instructions to add fuel stabilizer to the engine's fuel tank, run the engine for 2 minutes, run the stabilizer through the entire fuel system, and turn off the engine. Afterwards, the gasoline in the engine tank, tubing and carburetor can be stored for up to two years without deterioration.
