Occurrence and Control Techniques of Tomato Late Blight

<

Tomato late blight is a disease caused by oomycete fungi that seriously damages tomato growth. The disease is only harmful to tomatoes and potatoes. The severely affected fields can cause plants to die within a few days, resulting in a significant reduction in production or even no harvest. Low temperature, rain, dew, fog and other climatic conditions are conducive to disease. Tomatoes' late blight can harm tomato seedlings, leaves, stems and fruits, with heavy damage to leaves and green fruits. Seedlings are infected, and the lesions spread from the leaves to the main stem, making the stems thin and dark brown, resulting in wilting or folding of the whole plant. When the humidity is high, the surface of the diseased part produces white mold. Leaf disease, mostly from the lower tip of the plant or the beginning of leaf margin disease, the initial dark water spots irregular lesions, after the expansion of the main brown. When the humidity is high, white mold grows at the junction of the back part of the disease. The lesions on the stem showed dark brownish spoilage, causing the plants to wilt. Fruit infection mainly occurs on green fruits. The lesions appear dark greenish at the beginning of the lesion and turn dark brown to tan afterwards. They are slightly sunken and have sharp edges. The moiré is irregular, the fruit generally does not become soft, and the humidity is long. Rapidly rot. Control methods: (1) Agricultural control: selection of disease-resistant varieties; rational close planting, strengthening of field management; and implementation of non-solanum crop rotation for more than three years. (2) Chemical control: spraying 40% DuPont Fuxing Emulsion 8000 times or 72% DuPont Kelu wettable powder 800 times or 68.75% DuPont EPC wettable granules 1500 times or 75% kill dry suspension agent 600 times or 52.2% of Dupont's fast-acting net wettable granules can be 3000 times, which can achieve good control effect.
