Previous studies have pointed out that different personality characteristics determine the different effects and benefits of individuals in the long-term maintenance of cognitive behavioral therapy. A recent study by foreign researchers evaluated the effects of negative cognitive styles, behavioral activities, and personality types on the patient's 2-year cognitive behavioral therapy and what were the risk factors for predicting relapsed major depression. A total of 93 adult patients with depression were enrolled and randomized to receive one of three cognitive behavioral treatments. The course of treatment was adequate, the patient's response was good, and all completed a 2-year treatment. Cox regression analysis showed that a lower self-evaluation of negative cognitive style did not affect the patient's response to cognitive behavioral therapy. Separate Cox regression analysis showed that, regardless of the impact of personality traits on treatment, the extent of behavioral activities (such as the frequency and frequency of pleasant events) predicts whether patients will relapse with depression.
