The main component of this product is metformin hydrochloride. Its chemical name is: 1.1-dimethylbiguanide hydrochloride.

This product is sugar-coated or film-coated, after removing the coating was white.
Indications
For people with type 2Â diabetes who are not satisfied with simple diet control, especially those with obesity and hyperinsulinemia, this medicine not only has hypoglycemic effect, but also may have the effect of reducing body weight and hyperinsulinemia. For some patients with poor efficacy of sulfonylureas can be effective, such as with sulfonylureas, small intestine glycosidase inhibitors or thiazolidinedione hypoglycemic drugs combined, more effective than single use alone. It can also be used in patients with insulin therapy to reduce insulin use.

Dosage
Oral adult 0.25g once a day, 2-3 times a day, then gradually increase the amount according to the effect, the general daily dose of 1 ~ 1.5g up to no more than 2g daily. Meal or immediate after meals, can reduce the gastrointestinal reaction .
Adverse reactions
1. Common are: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, metallic taste in the mouth.
2. Sometimes fatigue, tiredness, dizziness, rashes.
3. Although the incidence of lactic acidosis is very low, it should be noted. The clinical manifestations are vomiting, abdominal pain, hyperventilation, mental disturbance, increased blood lactate concentration and cannot be explained by uremia, ketoacidosis, or salicylate poisoning.
4. It can reduce the intestinal absorption of vitamin B12, reduce hemoglobin, produce erythrocytic anemia, and can also cause malabsorption.
Contraindication
The following conditions should be disabled:
1.Type II diabetes is associated with ketoacidosis, liver and renal insufficiency (blood creatinine exceeding 1.5mg/dl), pulmonary insufficiency, heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, severe infection and trauma, major surgery, and clinically low Blood pressure and hypoxia.
2. Diabetes with severe chronic complications (such as diabetic nephropathy, diabetic retinopathy).
3. Before the foot vein pyelogram or arteries make color.
4. Alcoholics.
5. Severe heart and lung disease patients.
6. Vitamin B12, folic acid and iron deficiency patients.
7. Patients with poor general condition (such as malnutrition, dehydration).
Precautions
1.Type IÂ diabetes should not be used alone (can be combined with insulin);
2. Frequently check the fasting blood glucose, urine sugar and urine ketone body during the medication, and regularly measure the serum creatinine and blood lactate concentration.
3. Those who have previous history of lactic acidosis should be used with caution.
4. When combined with insulin therapy, prevent hypoglycemia.
